There’s a chill in the air and a pumpkin spice latte in my hand. Soon there will be pumpkins on my porch and a little boy running around the house in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume. It’s officially autumn now–the first Monday of autumn, in fact. My brain is brimming with things to add to my autumn bucket list this year.

As Princess of the Bubble Bath, trust me when I tell you that autumn is the start of bubble bath season. Not that 90-degree days ever stopped me from soaking in a hot bath, but now is the best time of year to indulge in a bubble bath that cloaks your skin like a fuzzy comforter. Winter is a bit too contrasting for the perfect bubble bath–many times, I’ve made the water hot enough to scald my dry winter skin, perpetuating even more dryness. But autumn is juuuust right, as Goldilocks would say, but probably not about bubble baths.

Unless, of course, she were in a bubble bath with a LUSH bubble bar!

To kick off this week’s second blogiversary celebration, I’d like to give one reader my favorite LUSH bubble bar of all time–and believe me, I’ve tried nearly all of them by now–the Comforter.

There are 4 easy ways to enter this contest:

1) Leave a comment below telling me what you think makes the perfect bubble bath (eg, Do you read a book in there? Do you listen to music? Scented candles–a must have?).

2) Follow @jamesandjax on Twitter and leave a comment telling me you’ve done so, including your Twitter name.

3) Tweet about this contest, including a link to this post and mentioning @jamesandjax. Comment below with the URL of your tweet.

4) Subscribe to this blog & leave a comment telling me you’ve done so.

One winner of the Comforter bubble bar will be selected randomly via random.org on Friday, September 28 and notified via e-mail. Contest open to all U.S. and Canadian residents. The bubble bar was purchased by me with my own hard-earned cash; this contest is not affiliated with LUSH. (Although hey, Lush, wanna work together???)

When you’re done, why not head over to today’s second giveaway & try to win something cool for your kiddo?

  16. I am not a huge bath person, but I love them when I DO have them. I really like bath salts and oils – something that makes me feel detoxed or just moisturized. I guess I need my relaxation to be productive! (That’s probably why my other “relaxing” activities are cleaning my house and tweezing my eyebrows.)

My favorite baths are the ones my husband ‘makes’ me take. When I was stressed out during my pregnancy, he would disappear without saying a word and sneak off to draw me a bath. It wasn’t optional! I thought that was especially amazing of him.
